Starcloud (starcloud.com), a startup dedicated to building AI data centers in space, recently announced the completion of a $250 million Series A extended funding round, bringing its post-money valuation to $2.3 billion.

Since its founding in 2024, Starcloud has raised a total of $450 million. In March of this year, the company completed a $170 million Series A funding round, at which time its valuation was approximately $1.1 billion. In just five months, the company’s valuation has more than doubled.
This funding round was led by Manhattan West Ventures, with new investors Nvidia and Cisco participating, and existing shareholders Benchmark and EQT continuing to invest. According to sources, Nvidia invested approximately $25 million in this round.
The funds will be used to expand manufacturing facilities and advance the development of its largest orbital data center spacecraft, Starcloud-3. This spacecraft is planned to launch aboard a SpaceX Starship rocket.
In November 2025, Starcloud successfully launched the Starcloud-1 satellite, equipped with an NVIDIA H100 GPU, into orbit, becoming the world’s first company to run a data center-grade GPU and train an AI model in space. Currently, the company is collaborating with NVIDIA to develop the first GPU specifically designed for space—the Vera Rubin Space-1 chip. The company has applied to the FCC for a license to operate 88,000 satellites, aiming to build a massive orbital computing network.
