The .gt domain registry of Guatemala, operated by Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, has integrated the “Unified Domain Search Engine” from the Latin American and Caribbean ccTLD Association (LACTLD). This feature allows users to check the availability of the same domain name across 15 other regional ccTLDs during registration or renewal. The initiative, already adopted by NIC Chile and NIC Costa Rica, aims to enhance digital inclusion and streamline domain search across Latin America and the Caribbean. The service remains free for users.
