On October 19, 2026, the creator marketing platform Clipster completed a major brand upgrade by acquiring the domain name Clipster.com for $100,000. This transition from Clipster.gg secures a vital digital identity for the brand’s continued growth. The acquisition was a challenging, 13-month-long negotiation process. The domain was not held by a professional domain investor, but rather by Regis Corporation—a major U.S. salon chain operator that owns well-known brands like Supercuts and holds an extensive portfolio of beauty-industry trademarks. As the domain was part of a corporate digital asset portfolio, the transaction took the form of a business-to-business negotiation, differing from standard domain trading practices.
Founded in 2025 by 24-year-old Dubai-based entrepreneur Turan Selvi, Clipster is a performance-driven creator marketing platform. Its business model is straightforward: brands commission short-video collaborations, creators produce the content, and earnings are generated based on authentic, verified view counts—ensuring that brands pay exclusively for quantifiable marketing results.
While the previous .gg domain served the platform well during its early stages, a .com domain aligns better with mainstream internet usage habits, facilitating brand awareness and lowering the barrier for users to remember and access the site. With this primary domain now secured, Clipster gains a unified online gateway, overcoming the limitations of a niche domain extension. This will prove instrumental in future client acquisition, creator recruitment, and expansion into international markets. For any internet startup, a .com domain that matches the brand name represents a significant intangible asset. This $100,000 investment underscores the team’s commitment to long-term brand building.
