Telehealth Psychology Platform My Mirror Secures M to Expand Services and Enter New Zealand

My Mirror, a telehealth platform specializing in mental health services, has raised $4 million in a funding round led by Perth-based Purpose Ventures. Additional support came from both new and existing investors, including Roger Allen, a pioneering tech entrepreneur and founder of Computer Power Group.

Closing the Gap in Mental Health Care

Founded five years ago by Dr. Matthew Zoeller and Josh Liwszyc, My Mirror aims to address Australia’s mental health challenges by providing same-day access to high-quality psychology services. The platform connects clinicians, clients, GPs, and referrers, streamlining care delivery and reducing wait times. To date, it has facilitated over 60,000 sessions for more than 18,000 clients.

Dr. Zoeller, an intensive care consultant, saw the toll of mental ill-health on frontline workers, while CEO Josh Liwszyc observed similar struggles in the resources industry. Their combined experiences shaped My Mirror’s mission to deliver accessible and affordable mental health care.

Funding Goals and Expansion

The new funding will be used to enhance the platform’s capabilities and drive expansion into New Zealand. The startup also plans to strengthen its partnerships with major referrers and triage services in Australia, further integrating across private, Medicare-funded, EAP, insurer, DVA, and NDIS markets.

Josh Liwszyc remarked:
“Long waitlists and funding barriers have left many Australians without mental health care. My Mirror bridges these gaps, ensuring same-day availability for those in need.”

Investor Confidence

Derek Gerrard, Managing Director at Purpose Ventures, highlighted My Mirror’s impressive growth and strong leadership:
“This marks our seventh investment and reflects the vibrant innovation in Western Australia. My Mirror’s impact in addressing mental health gaps makes it a standout addition to our portfolio.”

With an ambitious vision to make mental health care universally accessible, My Mirror is poised to reshape the mental health ecosystem in Australia and beyond.
