Rebellions.ai Raises $400 Million in Pre-IPO Funding, Valued at $2.3 Billion, Aiming for IPO

South Korean fabless AI chip startup Rebellions (Rebellions.ai) has secured $400 million in pre-IPO funding, valuing the company at $2.34 billion and further strengthening its position for an IPO later this year. This round was led by Mirae Asset Financial Group and the Korea National Growth Fund, bringing the company’s total funding to $850 million, with $650 million raised in the past six months.

Founded in 2020, Rebellions focuses on AI inference chip development. Inference, a core component for large-scale commercial models, is becoming a focal point of industry competition. The company previously raised $124 million in Series B and $250 million in Series C funding, rapidly accumulating capital to counter Nvidia’s dominance.

With this funding, Rebellions launched two major AI infrastructure platforms: RebelRack, which integrates multiple racks to form scalable clusters, and RebelPOD, a production-grade inference computing unit. Meanwhile, the company is accelerating its global expansion, having already established branches in the US, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan, and is building a technology cooperation ecosystem.

Currently, the AI ​​chip market is shifting its focus to inference infrastructure and supporting software. Rebellions, with its dedicated chips and high cost-effectiveness, has become a rising force challenging Nvidia, and its IPO process and market performance are attracting significant attention.
