Recently, the highly valuable domain name Icy.com was acquired for a seven-figure price, a move officially announced by Icy Studios founder Manik Kundra via LinkedIn.
Icy Studios has long used IcyStudios.com as its official domain since its inception. Following the acquisition, the domain now redirects to the company’s official website, signifying a significant upgrade to its brand domain strategy.

Prior to this transaction, Icy.com was owned by Brandforce. According to the domain archive page, the lowest offer for Icy.com was $2 million. Industry insider Elliot Silver inquired with Brandforce co-founder and vice president Louis Pickthall about the specific selling price. While no exact figure was obtained, Louis Pickthall confirmed that he facilitated the deal.
Although the final transaction amount for Icy.com has not been disclosed, this domain acquisition has been included in Embrace.com’s “List of Domain Companies for Brand Upgrades,” becoming another high-profile case in the domain transaction field.
