Sim.ai, Scoop.ai, and others also achieved sales exceeding $70,000. Transactions are often conducted through brokerage platforms, with sellers paying a 20% commission, and anonymous transactions are common.
The value of a domain name is determined by three factors: universality and industry adaptability (e.g., Law.ai), simplicity and ease of dissemination (e.g., F2.ai), and brand association (e.g., CAPY.ai, which saw its price increase from $5 to $50,000). Currently, .ai and .com form a “dual-core” landscape, accounting for 18 of the top 20 transactions in a given period and 95% of the total value.
AI technology is reshaping the value of domain names, making high-quality .al and .ai domains strategic assets for businesses.
