Firmus.co Raises 5 Million in Funding to Accelerate Computing Power Deployment in Asia Pacific

Founded in 2019, Firmus initially focused on cryptocurrency mining and scientific computing. In 2025, it strategically transformed to focus on AI infrastructure, deploying multiple data center projects in Australia and Singapore. The funds raised will primarily be used for AI hardware deployment in the Asia Pacific region, advancing its “Southgate” plan to build a renewable energy-driven AI data center cluster in Australia.

As a key partner in NVIDIA’s “Sovereign AI” strategy, Firmus uses NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin DSX design and plans to deploy 36,000 NVIDIA AI accelerator chips in its data center in Tasmania, balancing computing power with environmental friendliness. In just six months, the company has raised a total of US$1.35 billion and is currently preparing for a listing on the Australian Securities Exchange in mid-2026.

This funding not only fuels Firmus’ expansion but also reflects Australia’s rise in the global AI infrastructure sector. Leveraging its stable environment and abundant green electricity resources, the country is becoming a crucial node in the Asia-Pacific region’s AI computing power deployment.
