Amazon’s .Hot domain extension has officially entered the market, and it’s already living up to its name. Since May 12, 2025, Amazon Registry Services Inc. has opened early access registrations for .Hot domains, and the first wave of adopters is clearly setting the tone.
According to domain industry analyst Kevin Murphy, nearly all of the initial registrations appear aimed at the adult services sector. Domains like Acompanhantes.hot, Escort.hot, Escorts.hot, Incontri.hot, Prepagos.hot, and Trans.hot were all registered on May 13, just a day after launch — indicating a focused interest in erotic or escort-related usage.
In contrast, Amazon’s other new extensions, .Free and .Spot, have so far seen more neutral or general-purpose registrations, including Be.free, Bible.free, SQL.free, High.spot, and Hub.spot.
The early activity suggests that .Hot is quickly being positioned alongside adult-themed gTLDs like .xxx, .sex, and .sexy. Amazon has implemented an open registration policy under the “first come, first served” model, meaning that anyone can claim a .Hot domain — no restrictions, no approvals.
Whether this adult-oriented trend will continue remains to be seen, but with such a bold beginning, .Hot is already making a name for itself in the domain world.
