Afternic commission issue; Atom reported as a phishing site; Dissolved US corporations: Who owns their domains? SAV.com auctions with no reserve; I let these domains drop, was it a mistake?

Afternic Commission Issue
Not too long ago, Afternic introduced the ability for sellers to create a checkout link, with a low 5% commission. This is useful when negotiating outside of the GoDaddy universe, such as registrar path search, or landers. As the seller, you give the link to the buyer and they complete the transaction. An investor experienced one such instance where the commission remained at 20%. What could have possibly gone wrong?

Atom reported as a phishing site
Popular domain selling venue, Atom.com, displayed a warning message for a few hours on Thursday, after its DNS provider, CloudFlare, identified a domain on its inventory as malicious. While the issue was resolved promptly, it’s a wake-up call about using domain marketplaces that forward domains for sale to a URL under their own path.

SAV.com Auctions low prices offers
Using the SAV marketplace to auction domains is free. One has to remember that there is no reserve, however, which means that even if an offer of $1 is placed, the auction’s results are binding. A domainer is refusing to transfer 4 domains to the highest bidder, claiming that he wasn’t aware of that particular rule. Learn what not to do by participating in this thread.
