Starting in December 2024, Rwanda allows the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to handle disputes over .rw domains out of court. The new process follows the “.RW Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy,” which is similar to the UDRP but requires bad faith only during registration or use, rather than both. Fees begin at $1,500, varying based on the number of domains and panelists involved. This initiative provides trademark owners with an efficient and cost-effective way to resolve domain disputes quickly.
